So these last few days have been pretty coooool. Yesterday, I went to Fry’s to try and get this spiffy SLR I’ve been looking at. The Canon Rebel T1i. We ended up getting it, &I ended up being like O_O .. :’D It’s so nice, man. I’m happy with it. The only thing is that I wanna take it out to take pictures, but there’s not many places to go, besides the strip. Which SOMEONE needs to go, and take some beast shots. :’D But yeah, I need to take it for some spins somewhere. A lot of spins. I took some shots in the neighborhood when I got it, just to get the swing of the camera. Then that was that for the day.. The next day, today, was the first day of band camp. It’s weird being there a year ago, completely sucking and not knowing anything about marching, and being there a year later and knowing what the deal is. Hours are from 7-2. First 3 hours started off with marching basics and whatnot. Reeeeally borrrinng.. Then an hour of lunch break, then the rest of the day is playing. The playing though, was tight. I like the brass instructor, teacher, whatever. He’s an App Developer for the iTunes store, which is pretty tight. Our music for this year is boooooombbb. It’s like, Mozart stuff, marching band style. It sounds pretty tight. None of the trumpets practiced though ! haha. I’m the only one that did.. But I didn’t practice like everyday, I only started playing for the SNBA Summer Band thing. Which isn’t reaally that good. My lips are tired, sooo I need to build the strength back up. Stuff like our Fight Song gets to me though, cause it’s repetitive and WAY tiring. But our show music is tight. I’m excited to see what it’ll look like. I know it’s going to be really tiring, cause our 3rd movement is being marched at 160bpm. which is reaally fast to walk, AND play at the same time. As well as keep your spacing correct and remember all the fundamentals and whatnot.. But it’s still exciting. I’m antsy to see how we’re gonna look. And for overall, just playing it today for the first time with the new people, it sounds pretty good. The music’s quite challenging too, there’s a bunch of stuff  you have to pay attention to. Ah, it’s gonna be hard. But awesome.
